Seventh Sunday of Easter

As we gather on this Seventh Sunday of Easter, we find ourselves in that sacred space between Jesus’ Ascension into heaven and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. It is a moment filled with quiet anticipation, deep trust, and a renewed call to unity.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus prays for His disciples—and for all who would one day believe in Him. He prays that we may be one, united in love, strengthened in faith, and protected from all that seeks to divide or discourage us. His prayer reminds us that we are never left alone. Even as He ascends to the Father, His heart remains with us, interceding for our needs and guiding our steps.

This Sunday invites us to pause and reflect on the gift of Christ’s abiding presence. Though unseen, He continues to walk with us, preparing our hearts for the fire of the Holy Spirit. We are called to wait with hope, to pray with expectation, and to trust that God is already at work in ways we cannot yet see.

May this week be a time of renewed unity in our families, our parish, and our wider community. May we hold one another in prayer, just as Christ holds each of us in His. And may our hearts be open to the Spirit who is coming—bringing courage, wisdom, and new life.

Come, Holy Spirit. Prepare us for Your coming.

May Prayer

Heavenly Father,
As we enter the month of May, a season bright with new life and hope, we lift our hearts to You in gratitude. Thank You for the beauty of creation that surrounds us — the blooming flowers, the longer days, and the gentle reminders that You make all things new.

In this month dedicated to Mary, our Blessed Mother, we ask for her intercession and guidance. May her example of faith, humility, and courage inspire us to follow Your will with joyful hearts. Teach us to listen as she listened, to trust as she trusted, and to love as she loved.

Lord Jesus,

Help us grow closer to You during this Easter season. Strengthen our faith, renew our spirits, and deepen our desire to serve You in all we do. May our words bring peace, our actions reflect compassion, and our lives bear witness to Your resurrection.

Lord Jesus,
Help us grow closer to You during this Easter season. Strengthen our faith, renew our spirits, and deepen our desire to serve You in all we do. May our words bring peace, our actions reflect compassion, and our lives bear witness to Your resurrection.

Holy Spirit,
Fill our parish community with Your gifts.
Renew our families, bless our ministries, and unite us in purpose.
Guide us in moments of uncertainty, comfort us in times of struggle, and lead us toward the fullness of life You promise.

May this month be a time of grace, growth, and gratitude.

May we walk with Mary, rejoice in Christ, and rest in the Father’s love. Amen.
